Cell Grown hedge plants and plants in P7's and P9's (7 and 9 cm pots)

Cell grown hedge plants (grown in mini pots called cells) are small but great value. They are available all year round and have a very high success rate - see the fuller explanation on the right hand side of our website. P7's and P9's are 7 and 9 cm pots (a bit bigger than a yogurt pot) and have equally good success rates. Although these hedge plants are not tall, we find that most species double in size (some much more but Holly and Yew less) in the first growing season.

If you need very large quantities, we can increase our discounts substantially because we use pallet delivery instead of cardboard box delivery and on very large orders, it's really economic (you get free delivery whatever the order size, but if we make a saving on delivery we can pass more discount on to you).

We also have Mixed Native Hedging as cell grown plants shown at the bottom of this listing. The proportions of each species vary depending on the size of pack you choose
- packs of 100 are 40% Hawthorn or Blackthorn (depending on the base you choose) and 12% each of Blackthorn or Hawthorn (the opposite one to the base you choose) and 12% of Hazel, Field Maple, Wild Cherry and Dog Rose
- packs of 250 and 500 are as above but the base Hawthorn or Blackthorn are 50% and the other species are 10% - the reasons for this are to do with our minimum quantity on each species - too complicated to explain!

If these proportions or quantities don't suit you perfectly, please phone us - as long as you have a minimum of 12 plants in any one species, you can mix them up any way you please! We can also give bigger discounts on telephone orders over 500 plants.

Planting density is 4 per metre in a single row, or ideally 6 per metre in a staggered row.
