Online Catalogue | Dwarf / Compact Box Hedging Plants (Buxus sempervirens Suffruticosa)
Click here for a chart of species characteristics to help you chooseTiny green leaves and a compact habit make this evergreen hedging plant ideal for borders, path edging and decorative knot gardens.Find sizes and prices below or Click HereThis is the dwarf version of Box and it has very dense, tiny, dark green leaves (not quite as dark green as Common Box) and because of its very slow growth rate and maximum height of 50/100cm, it is absolutely ideal for very low or knee height path edging or ornamental parterres. Buxus sempervirens Suffruticosa is fine in full sun but actually prefers a little shade. Because of its very slow growth rate it is very easy to keep trimmed to a neat shape. For some people it is just a little too slow growing, so if you want a hedge or edging to be knee height or above then click here for Common Box We have pot grown plants available all year round and bare roots from November - April.
