A really useful ornamental shrub, great as an informal hedge or an addition to a mixed hedge. It has plenty of dark pink flowers in late March/April, especially if grown in a sunny, well drained, fertile spot. It is average/fast growing and although it would reach 3m if grown as a shrub, it can easily be kept at 1m or 2m as a hedge. Prune after flowering and mulch around the roots to encourage more flowers the following year.
We have Flowering Currant as pot grown available all year round, and also as bare root plants available Nov to early April (sometimes late March).
Don't forget to order RootGrow and/or Bonemeal.
