Hypericum Hidcote is a semi evergreen so it will only lose its leaves in very cold winters.It flowers towards the end of summer and into early autumn, sometimes as late as October. St John's Wort is a very easy hedging plant to maintain, its growth rate is average/slow once it's established, so it really needs very little attention - just cut back after flowering.
