Discounted Mixed Native Hedging Plants Bare Root and Cell Grown bundles

Our discounted Mixed Native Hedging Plants bare root (see the explanation of bare roots on the right hand side of our website) bundles are 50% Hawthorn or Blackthorn (choose Blackthorn for wetter soils and coastal areas) and 10% each of Dog Rose, Field Maple, Hazel, Bird Cherry or Wild Cherry and either Hawthorn or Blackthorn. These species are ideal for wildlife being relatively prickly and with a long flowering season and haws, hips,nuts and sloes for autumn. The season for these bare root plants lasts from November to early April (or sometimes late March) and these packs are hugely popular.

If these pack sizes aren't exactly what you need, we can make up packs to your specification - or we can give you advice on species selection and proportion - we can also increase the discounts available on orders of over 1000 plants. Why not add to your mixed native hedging? The more species you include in a hedge, the better for wildlife - choose from the very wide range in our bare root hedging section at the top of the left hand menu.

We also have Mixed Native Hedging as cell grown plants (see the cell grown section for full details of this growing method). These plants are small but have a very high success ratio and are available all year round - very popular! The proportions of each species vary depending on the size of pack you choose
- packs of 100 are 40% Hawthorn or Blackthorn (depending on the base you choose) and 12% each of Blackthorn or Hawthorn (the opposite one to the base you choose) and 12% of Hazel, Field Maple, Bird Cherry and Dog Rose
- packs of 250 and 500 are as above but the base Hawthorn or Blackthorn are 50% and the other species are 10% - the reasons for this are to do with our minimum quantity on each species - too complicated to explain!

As with bare roots, if these proportions or quantities don't suit you perfectly, please phone us - as long as you have a minimum of 12 plants in any one species, you can mix them up any way you please! We can also give bigger discounts on orders of 200 or more plants.
