Online Catalogue | Oleaster Hedging (Elaeagnus x ebbingei)
Oleaster is a lovely species, with dark green leaves which are speckled with tiny silver dots on the upper side and are silver grey underneath, so hedges have a green/silver appearance from a distance. There are other unusual features to Oleaster - the stems are bronze coloured, it flowers in Autumn (small grey/cream flowers) and it fruits (small orange/grey speckled) in Spring - perhaps because it's from the sub-continent! Despite its origins, it's fully hardy. Good in dry soil and in salt laden air.See also Oleaster Limelight Hedging for a brighter, statement hedge. We have our own pot grown Oleaster hedge plants available all year round.Don't forget to order RootGrow and/or Bonemeal.New range of beautiful topiary now available.
