Online Catalogue | Copper Beech | Purple Beech Hedging (Fagus sylvatica Purpurea)
Purple or Copper Beech is a really classy hedging plant - luxurious green/black/purple leaves from Spring until late Autumn and then (like green Beech) it's leaves turn copper brown so it has two completely different appearances each year bringing great variety to the garden. This leaf colour can vary as these purple beech plants are grown from seed, if you're keen to achieve a perfectly purple hedge then it is advisable to order 10% more bare root plants than required, so that any rogue greens can be removed, alternatively order pots which will have been checked for perfect purple-ness! We have cell grown and pot grown Purple Beech plants available all year round, and bare root plants available from Nov to early April (sometimes late March). Don't forget to order RootGrow and/or Bonemeal.New range of beautiful topiary now available
