Pyracantha is a really popular hedging plant because it flowers, has profuse brightly coloured Orange berries, is evergreen and is very prickly - so it meets the brief in many situations. It has small, glossy green leaves, big clusters of creamy perfumed flowers (in late May/June) and then lovely bright berries in red, orange or yellow from early autumn until the birds have eaten them all (Oct to Jan).

We grow Pyracantha hedging plants on our own nurseries and they are available all year round.

Growth rate is medium and it will grow to up to 3m but is particularly good kept at 1.0/3.0m.
