Online Catalogue | Rowan Hedging (Sorbus acuparia)
The Rowan species is good as a tree within a mixed native hedge (the extra height of hedgerow trees is useful as a nesting or resting site for some birds) or as a tall informal hedge. It is native to Northern Europe so it is very hard, good in exposed, cold situations - but fully acclimatised to urban gardens too. It's good in sun or partial shade and all but the wettest soils. We have Rowan as a bare root plant, available from November to early April (sometimes late March). We also have cell grown Rowan plants available all year round. Don't forget to order RootGrow and/or Bonemeal.New range of beautiful topiary now available.
