Elder is native and famous for the huge white flower clusters (in June) from which elderflower cordial is made and the heavy bunches of blackcurrant coloured berries which make elderberry wine. This is a very popular addition to a mixed native hedge - it flowers later than many of the other normal species in mixed hedging so extends the flowering period. Whilst it is most known for its flowers and berries, it also has a very pretty leaf shape.
We have Elder as a bare root plant, available from November to early April (sometimes late March). We also have cell grown plants available all year round.
Don't forget to order RootGrow and/or Bonemeal.
