Online Catalogue | Yew Hedging Plant (Taxus baccata)
Click here for a chart of species characteristics to help you chooseThe English Yew hedge plant, is the king of hedging. It is native, evergreen, dense, slow growing (so easy maintenance) and good in shade. It really doesn't like wet, heavy clay soils but otherwise, it's very easy to grow. Yew is one of the few evergreen species that can cope with being grown as a bare root plant so in autumn/winter (they're available November to early April - sometimes late March) this is a really economic way to establish a new Yew hedge. If you need taller, bulkier, bushier plants the pot grown (available all year round) or root balls (available October to April) are the ones to select. Again we are now taking bare root pre orders on root balls to buy for delivery in October 2011.We offer discounted packs of Enlish Yew bare roots but if these quantities don't exactly meet your requirements please phone or email us for a quote.Harmful if eaten.FANTASTIC SPECIAL OFFER ON 30/50CM BARE ROOT PLANTS (BEAUTIFUL PLANTS - YOU WILL BE DELIGHTED WITH THE QUALITYDon't forget to order RootGrow and/or Bonemeal.New range of beautiful topiary now available.
