Delivery Timescales

Over 95% of our orders are despatched within 3-5 working days of receipt - many are despatched the very next day.

You will receive an email or telephone call confirming the despatch of your order 24/48 hours beforehand.

Need to specify a delivery date? Please do so in the delivery notes section of the checkout, we'll do our utmost to get it there for you*

We have a very experienced team of packers whose aim is to get your order to you swiftly whilst monitoring quality and ensuring your plants are packed properly to arrive in tip-top condition. Most orders will be despatched within 3-5 working days however there are some exceptions.

Pre orders - if you have placed an order that includes pre order products then they will be despatched to you as soon as they are available. If your order includes pre order bare roots or root balls you will be notified once they are being despatched, which is usually from November and again when your order is despatched.

Root balls - lifting root balls involves the use of complex, heavy machinery, this lifting is carried out once a week in the root ball season meaning that some root ball orders may take longer than 3-5 working days to despatch

Cell grown - these plants are kept in stock and usually despatched within a couple of working days

Pot grown - as we keep a large number of these plants in stock we can usually despatch within just a couple of days and often next day

Weather conditions can affect despatch - plants are not lifted if the ground is too cold (it damages the roots) or if the water supply is frozen (because we water all plants before packing). Extremely hot weather is equally challenging and occasionally we hold back orders for species that are particularly vulnerable. We ask our customers to be mindful of bank holidays when couriers are not active.

We'd like to stress that although there are exceptions, the vast majority of our orders are despatched within a couple of days of the order being received.

*We always endeavour to deliver when you need us to, however we cannot be held liable for costs incurred due to missed delivery dates.
