Cornus alba 'Baton Rouge'

Cornus alba 'Baton Rouge' is one of the red Dogwood varieties noted for its bright autumn and winter colour. This deciduous shrub has green ovate leaves and small, creamy-white flowers through spring and summer. During the autumn the leaves turn plum-coloured and the flowers give way to small blue-white berries. As winter approaches, the stems become a vivid crimson, brightening up the winter gardenscape with a burst of colour. Suitable for most soil types as long as moist and well-drained, this shrub will grow happily in full sun or partial shade and in most locations. Generally pest and disease free.
