Cotoneaster franchetii hedge plants (Franchet's Cotoneaster) description

This evergreen hedging is perfect for exposed sites, coastal or inland, and grows well in any but very wet soils. In extremely cold winters, some of the foliage from your Cotoneaster franchetii hedge plants may turn autumnal shades before falling; however, they will generally stay fully evergreen, providing a good screen and windbreak. Unlike some other varieties of Cotoneaster hedging, such as Horizontalis, Franchet's Cotoneaster has an upright habit and is self-supporting. Cotoneaster franchetii makes a great habitat for wildlife, mainly birds, who feed on the red/dark orange winter berries that also provide seasonal interest.

Common uses of Franchet's Cotoneaster hedging

Cotoneaster franchetii hedge plants are easily maintained in a neat shape for formal hedging but look equally as appealing when left slightly bushy, working well for garden and landscape hedging alike. Being an evergreen variety, Cotoneaster franchetii also makes a great privacy screen hedge and windbreak, whilst muffling noise pollution such as loud roads.

Excellent service and great plants, which arrived very quickly and had been beautifully packed. I was so grateful that my very small order was given such prompt attention. I wish I had a larger garden so I could order more plants! I can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you.
