The bare root willow and crab apple plants were loosely wrapped in a black bin liner with nothing to protect the roots from damage or keep them moist during transit. They were very dry when received and although they are now "heeled in" I am not hopeful that they will survive. Bare root hedging plants that I previously ordered from another company always arrived very well wrapped and protected with masses of straw and newspaper and secured with zippy ties in a suitably sized box, these sad specimens from Best4Hedging had none of this. The escallonias were in similar poor condition - 8 pot grown plants in a very large box, far too large to stop them being thrown around in transit, with nothing to protect them, they arrived out of the pots, soil everywhere and with most of the branches damaged or broken (particularly the larger Rubra plants a photo of which is attached).
Very disappointed, I will not order from this company again.
