Benefits of average growth rate hedging

  • One of the many benefits of planting a hedge with an average growth rate is the level of maintenance they require. They will reach your desired hedge height relatively quickly (most average growing hedges achieve 20-40cm a year) and will not exceed your desired height too quickly, meaning you spend less time pruning!
  • The majority of our average growing hedging species are suited to a range of heights, anything from 1m to 5m. To find out the ideal height of individual hedging species, check the bullet points at the top of each product page.
  • Average growing hedges will not shoot up in height too rapidly, so most species only require a light prune once or twice a year. On the other hand, you also won't be waiting too long for your hedge to achieve the height you desire. You can find out specific information on how to prune your hedge on each product page.
