Often known as Porcupine Grass, Miscanthus sinensis 'Strictus' Grass has a compact and clump-forming growing habit with rigid and spiky leaves and silvery flower plumes which can be seen in autumn. As the name might suggest, the deciduous leaves of Miscanthus sinensis 'Strictus' resemble the quills of a porcupine, with the long green leaves being interspersed with pale yellow crossbands.
