‘Good old fashioned customer service is often a missing ingredient in business today. We recognise this and uphold it as one of our core values.’
Jamie, Managing Director
Rest assured, we use rigorous quality checking processes and only send top quality plants to be proud of, however, we accept that sometimes things can go wrong.
Here at best4hedging we understand and uphold the value of good old fashioned customer service. To us, it’s simple; if you’re not happy, for any reason, on the receipt of your plants then you have one week to let us know. We’ll do our best to resolve any issues for you there and then.
To give your plants a helping hand and help to prevent failures, we always recommend planting with both Rootgrow in combination with a more general feed and fertiliser. Below are the tried and tested products that we highly recommend to give your plants the best start in their new home:
Feeds and Fertilisers Information:
With a number of years' experience under our belts, we have found that plant failure rates do drop significantly when planting with a suitable combination of Rootgrow and a secondary feed or fertiliser, and if the plants are happy, then so are our customers!
Despite all of us at best4hedging and our customers doing everything right, sometimes, plants still experience issues and can occasionally fail. If you have plants that have failed, don't worry, we can still help! We will however need your assistance to help us to identify the cause of any failures. This ensures that we can continue to provide our customers with only the best quality plants as well as allowing us to respond to problems faster and provide up to date, comprehensive advice. To help us help you we ask you to provide the following information via email:
Please contact us via email - [email protected]
Once we have both confirmed your order details and checked the photos, we will contact you to give advice on next steps and if required, arrange plant replacement. Any plants that have confirmed to have failed will be replaced straight away, free of charge - no quibbles.
We provide a great deal of planting advice for each specific type of hedging as well as seasonal advice on dealing with the weather.
Plant using Rootgrow and Bonemeal (or one of our other secondary plant feeds). For advice on exact quantities to use, you can call our expert Sales team on 01257 261 243
Water well both during the planting process and throughout dry periods. Water directly to the soil and base of the plants, as watering foliage during very sunny and warm weather may burn the foliage as it evaporates.
Always water during the coolest time of the day, either early morning or in the evening, never water during the middle of the day.
Rain does count towards watering, so adjust accordingly. Heavy rain means you need to water less, but light rain won't provide enough water to your plants on it's own.
Ensure you weed the planting area both before planting and continue to do so during the first few years of establishment. You can use rabbit guards, mulch matting and mypex ground cover the help with weeds and pests, all of which can be found amongst our planting essentials.
