Viburnum lantana hedging description

Viburnum lantana, commonly known as the Wayfaring Tree as it was often planted along waysides, provides an array of features from spring through to autumn. Plant Viburnum lantana for fragrant flowers, colourful berries and autumn colour. Viburnum lantana is great for wildlife gardens as birds will eat the berries and seek shelter within its branches. The white flowers also produce nectar, yielded by butterflies. The Cotton Tree will grow well in any moist yet well-drained site and is suited to most soil types. The Common Wayfaring Tree will have the best flower display if planted in full sun but will tolerate both partial shade and drought.

On 08-Apr-2017 the supplier responded:
Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback, it's much appreciated and hopefully I can reassure you somewhat. Viburnum lantana (sometimes called the Wayfaring Tree), like many hedging plants, are actually trees and will grow as such until they are trimmed with some regularity. Once planted and pruned over the course if the seasons it will begin to bush-out very well.

I hope that this helps and if there is anything else at all we can help with please do not hesitate to get in touch on 01257 261243 or email us at enquiries@best4hedging.co.uk
