Wild Cherry hedging shrubs are unequivocally one of the most ornamental of our native hedging species. With masses of white flowers from early spring followed by red cherries which are popular with the birds and then wonderful autumnal colour, Prunus avium is an attractive native shrub or can be allowed to grow as a hedgerow tree.
