Fuchsia magellanica

Hardy Fuchsia shrubs have slender, arching branches that are decorated with profuse flowers from summer through to autumn. Fuchsia magellanica makes a fantastic ornamental hedge with single, long stalked flowers that have pink and purple petals that attract bees and other insects to the garden. The colourful flowers of this Hardy Fuchsia contrast beautifully with the dark green, ovate foliage from spring through to autumn.

This Hardy Fuchsia Hedge is well suited to coastal sites and although it can grow to 3m it also takes well to hard pruning and can be easily maintained at 1.5-2m. Providing a colourful display, Fuchsia magellanica is a wonderful hedging plant that is best suited to a sheltered site in full sun to partial shade and a moist but well-drained soil.
