Cotoneaster franchetii hedge plants (Franchet's Cotoneaster) description

This evergreen hedging is perfect for exposed sites, coastal or inland, and grows well in any but very wet soils. In extremely cold winters, some of the foliage from your Cotoneaster franchetii hedge plants may turn autumnal shades before falling; however, they will generally stay fully evergreen, providing a good screen and windbreak. Unlike some other varieties of Cotoneaster hedging, such as Horizontalis, Franchets Cotoneaster has an upright habit and is self-supporting. Cotoneaster franchetii makes a great habitat for wildlife, mainly birds, who feed on the orange winter berries that also provide seasonal interest.

Common uses of Franchet's Cotoneaster hedging

Cotoneaster franchetii hedge plants are easily maintained in a neat shape for formal hedging, but look equally as appealing when left slightly bushy, working well for garden and landscape hedging alike. Being an evergreen variety, Cotoneaster franchetii also makes a great privacy screen hedge and windbreak, whilst muffling noise pollution such as loud roads.

Easy and helpful to order over the phone, prompt delivery, good quality plants as far as I can tell today. Some relatively minor damage in transit due to very high density packing but some over delivery items so no harm done.

Good prompt communicative service but let down by delivery company. Although the cardboard box said "Live Plants This Way Up" I doubt whether the box arrived in the way it was packed. Significant damage to several plants.

On 03-May-2016 the supplier responded:
Service rating :Thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback. I'm pleased that all arrived promptly however sorry to hear that the plants were damaged on arrival. It is always disappointing on the rare occasion this happens and it is certainly not something we would expect. I would ask if you would kindly send through an image or two of the plants? I'll then be able to discuss with both my Nursery Manager and our Delivery Company Representative do try and ensure things like this occur less frequently and also come to some arrangement with yourself with regard to the plants you have received.

Our contact details are below and I look forward to hearing from you and getting this sorted out.
