Rosemary is a popular evergreen shrub that produces an aromatic herb perfect for cooking. It also provides blue/purple flowers as early as February when planted in a sunny and sheltered site. As Rosmarinus officinalis is a Mediterranean plant it prefers a dry and stoney site and it will not cope well if it is waterlogged.
