Care advice for Orange Dogwood hedging
Orange Dogwood benefits from a "less-is-more" trimming approach. Dogwood Cornus sanguinea does not need pruning in its first year. After that, it should be cut right back to approximately a 4 inch base from the ground. Pruning this much in February/March, before the buds appear will encourage the brightly coloured shoots that make Cornus sanguinea so popular.
